Greensboro and the greater Triad area have some amazing fat-positive service providers and clinicians, but we didn’t necessarily know who we all were. A few years ago a group of folks got together to try and form an organization of like-minded providers, clinicians, and students to network and support one another.  What was intended to be an inclusive space for folks of all identities, sadly, did not have systems for accountability in place and that group did not feel safe for many people.

Since then, several local clinicians have received coaching on how to make groups more accountable with an effort to seek to be safer, more inclusive spaces.  This is that group.  We hope to be a place of networking, education, advocacy, and support for fat-positive, non-diet services providers and clinicians where everyone has a voice and feels heard.
